Who we are:

We are a small-batch bakery in New Hampshire. We bake in a residential kitchen. Our baker is ServSafe Certified.

We are an exempt homestead food operator. “This product is exempt from New Hampshire licensing and inspection.”

Ordering:

You may order by our order form. Orders are confirmed only after written confirmation and payment as set below. Weekly cookie orders expire at 5 pm Tuesdays, and delivery will be made on Fridays, unless otherwise specified in our weekly menu and order page.

Payment:

We accept Stripe or Paypal. Payment is due at checkout for standard orders.
Custom or large orders require a 50% non-refundable deposit when booked. The balance is due 48 hours before pickup/delivery.

Pricing & tax:

Prices may change without notice. Sales tax is collected where required by law. Promotions, bundles, and discounts apply to qualifying items only.

Cancellations & changes:

You may request changes up to 48 hours before pickup/delivery. We will do our best.
Cancel within 24 hours of confirmation: deposit is refunded minus processing fees.
Cancel inside 24 hours of delivery: deposit is non-refundable. Once in production, all sales are final.

Refunds & quality:

We stand behind our bakes. If something is wrong, contact us within 24 hours of delivery with your order number and photos.
We will assess and, at our discretion, offer a replacement, credit, or refund for product defects.
We cannot refund for issues outside our control (e.g., storage errors, heat exposure after hand-off, missed pickup).

Delivery:

Delivery will be made to your front door (hung on doorknob) unless otherwise agreed upon by mutual consent.
Once the order is handed off, risk passes to you. Keep cookies cool, sealed, and away from heat/sun.
Local delivery is available in Rochester, Dover, Barrington, Somersworth, Farmington, Milton. (ask about delivery to Portsmouth) Delivery fees may apply. If we cannot deliver due to weather or events beyond our control, we will reschedule.

Shipping: We are not currently shipping cookies.

Allergens & kitchen note:

Most products contain wheat (gluten), milk, eggs, and soy. Our kitchen also processes peanuts and tree nuts.
We cannot guarantee against cross-contact. Please review ingredients before ordering.

Lactation Line disclaimer:

Our Lactation Cookies include oats, ground flaxseed, and brewer’s yeast. They are a delicious snack for nursing parents, not a medical product. Results vary. Consult your medical provider with questions.

Product descriptions & availability:

We may update flavors, designs, portion sizes, or ingredients without notice. Photos are illustrative. Seasonal items are limited.

Promotions & gift cards:

One promo code per order unless stated. Discounts apply before tax and exclude gift cards. Codes must be entered at checkout and cannot be added after purchase.
Example: JOYMAMA15 is valid for one-time use by new moms; not transferable; expires Jan 1, 2028.
Gift cards are non-refundable and have no cash value except where required by law.

User content & reviews:

If you tag us or share photos with us, you grant Joy Box Bakery a non-exclusive right to repost or share for marketing, with credit to you. Tell us if you prefer we do not repost.

Intellectual property:

Our name, logos, cookie outline mark, Joy Notes, images, and content are protected. Do not copy, resell, or redistribute without written permission.

Liability:

To the fullest extent allowed by law, our total liability for any claim related to your order is limited to the amount you paid for that order. We are not liable for indirect or consequential damages.

Indemnity:

You agree to use our products as directed and to store them safely. You agree to indemnify us for losses arising from misuse after hand-off.

Force majeure:

Weather, power loss, supply shortages, illness, and events beyond our control may delay or limit orders. We will communicate and offer a reschedule, substitution, or refund as appropriate.

Privacy:

Governing law:

These terms are governed by New Hampshire law. Venue is in [Strafford County, NH.
